Looking Inward & Outward (with the goggle of Faith) – Part 92

Dearly Beloved,

The following is another attempt to use the goggle of Faith to weigh various inspired thoughts, on another blessed day.

1.   Most self-seeking or innocent-looking thoughts that come our way and hang upon our hearts and mind, actually do so because they find one darkness or another in us, or one ignorance or lust that they quietly feed on (Jam. 1:14, 2Cor. 10:5). But as we entertain more of the righteous declarations and unveiling of the gospel of Christ and of God, we will become empowered to a place where such lusts would lose their grip upon our souls: and would keep doing so until we are rid of them and can go after such lustful natures in men (Psa. 18:28b, Acts 26:17).

2.   A true child or infant hardly ever takes thought for tomorrow or for his life, because they are yet to subscribe to the knowledge from that worldly tree from Eden. Our Lord Jesus therefore said we have to be like them to enter into His Kingdom (Matt. 18:3). The day children start doing otherwise; even by transacting with self-centered thoughts, is the day they would – like Eve – receive the first enlightenment from this world (Gen. 3:6-7). The aging of their soul would begin, which leads to the gradual loss of their innocence or childlikeness. But one thing that the journey from faith to Charity does, is to arrest and reverse that aging process or genes in our soul; even until it becomes unnatural for us to do so (Matt. 6:33).

3.   Take away or empty the fear-prone nature that caked in us while taking thoughts that were once inspired or driven by lust from our youthful days, and then gradually replace it with revelations of God’s righteousness that firstly comes through the feasts or hearing and doing of faith, hope and Charity, and a child in the Kingdom would be born. Then, a new Christlike man would be born, who has been gracefully gathered back in his soul; made upright enough to ‘think God’ or to look solely for the satisfaction that comes from above; even from God’s throne (Jer. 23:1-4, Tit. 2:12-13, Col. 3:1-2).

4.   The degree to which we can undress thoughts that promote gain or advantage, is the degree to which we have profited from the ministry of reconciliation or of righteousness; and to that degree have we actually journeyed to be at peace with God (Phil. 3:7, Eph. 4:12, 2Cor. 5:17, Rom. 5:1-2).

5.   Where our thoughts are always found or streams from, is an indication of where our soul lives in (Matt. 6:19-20). When our thoughts are mostly earth bound or found around monetary transactions; around the corridors of earthly governance or market places etc, at the expense of seeking things above, then our soul is earthly or carnal (Rom. 8:7, Jam. 3:13-15). But when we strive or seek to gracefully fetch thoughts from heavenly places in Christ; or to make the law of God our daily mediation like David did, then: things or lusts that easily tempt us would increasingly lose their value because we are appreciating in being spiritually or Christ minded (Rom. 8:5-6).

Blessings!
